2013 tow mirrors on a 2004????

hello all, i currently have a set of tow mirrors, no power fold, power mirror, heated, turn signal and puddle lamp from a 2009 model installed. Does anyone know if the ones on a 2013 will work as well? Any part #'s for both mirrors.....Would love to upgrade...........

I checked a few months ago with Tasca & Tousley, neither had part numbers available yet. The mirrors could be ordered, if you had a 2013 VIN to give to them. As soon as they are available, I'm getting a set.

ok, so it sounds like they hadn't changed the doors since 2004? and as far as the wiring, since i've changed mine to fit the tow mirrors already, it'll be plug and play? the lariat i was looking at the other day had the power fold option, which would be sweet to hook up as well, truck was beautiful, and so was the price tag........$56,000

The powerfold option is a pain to wire as it involves a new window/mirror switch, as well as relays/wiring. It's not as simple as just adding a few pots to the worrying harness.

My guess is that they will have changed the plugs on the mirrors again to accommodate the power fold & extend features as well as the marker light. I believe there were a few vacant openings in the mirror & body harness plugs, but I don't know if there were enough to add pins for those new features.

Do you know if the puddle lamp is on the new style mirrors or did they eliminate that? (It will be a new feature for 2014/15)

I did like the fact that they put a marker light on the back side, which i believe it may double as a turn signal because it didn't have the repeater on the mirror side at the bottom, and there was no puddle lamp on it either, which is a nice feature too.

If the new mirror is like the Super Duty mirror, there's two lights under each lens. The top is the turn signal and the bottom is the marker. I would miss the puddle lamp, but I think I could dream up something that would work just as well.
