I have done some research throughout this forum and others like it and have found some useful information on my issue but nothing that shares all the symptoms I'm seeing with my truck. I have an 08 150 5.4 4x4. Like many issues with 4x4's mine started after an evening in the mud trying to pull a friend out. My engine did get extremely hot but haven't ever had any over heating issues. I get home and start noticing problems. I was throwing codes on no 2 cylinder so I replaced spark plug and vwwaala seemed to be fine. Well a week or so later I throw another code for cylinder 3? I clear codes with my programmer, never came back. All the while my truck appeared to be running fine. After I cleared the second code I noticed that my gas mileage seemed to have gone down slightly with a minor lack of power. So I was making plans to have a full replacement of all spark plugs and coils. Then... the real issue started. I got a complete lack of power at acceleration. My truck would get to 3400 rpm and just bog down. I noticed that I have substantial amounts of water coming out of the left side of my exhaust. I do not notice any water in my oil, but have noticed a dark substance in the coolant resavoir. I've read that that could be a lubricant from the cool system? So... water out of exhaust=head gasket or worse? Lack of power=??? And random spark plug codes=??? I don't know how all these faults tie together. The fact that there is no water in my oil is the most confusing part. Any help would be greatly appreciated
