What's everyone using for backup cams?

Been wanting to add a backup camera to my truck and my wife bought me this one for Christmas.....pretty solid and seems like a good quality camera. Plus it comes with all of the wiring too!

I like most of the features of that one. You're still going to need a display with A/V inputs.

I'm still waiting for someone to come out with one that can broadcast to my Android via Bluetooth or wifi. That would be real hand for those times when I have to hook up a trailer by myself (which is almost always).

I bought a tailgate bezel that includes the hole for the factory camera and then bought a wide angle camera off of ebay. Works pretty good. I already had a Kenwood double DIN stereo that had a rear camera input.

I installed a Pioneer double din CD/DVD head unit last spring....just one of the many reasons I did!

I find that my eyes work quite well. Seriously though, can't afford one.

You can actually get a setup pretty cheap if you really want one. I have a link to a camera that's right around 20 bucks from Amazon. I know some people that are using these and love them. You can also find a small moniter that plugs into your cigarette lighter real cheap also. Give me some time to find the links and I'll get them to you. These things are priceless as far as safety goes. Our trucks are big, and there are quite a few blind spots. My last F1fiddy had a stock back up cam and i miss having it. As soon as the weather warms up I'm installing mine!

I got a BOYO VTL375HD. Works really well once all my wiring got sorted out (like it wouldn't work if my lights were on...?).

Thanks! I'm not sure if I really want one. I rather spend money on a lift kit, tires, and a locking diff. And I hate wiring. I've installed some rip off headlights which was a pain. Took those out. I'm looking for more mechanical stuff. You wouldn't know where I could get some good headers for my 4.2L V6? I'm only 16 so I don't have a whole bunch of money to blow.

I agree though. I have tons of trouble judging on how close I am to another car or the trailer tongue. Maybe an upgrade down the line.

I actually originally installed it in the tailgate handle but I didn't like how I couldnt see the hitch receiver so I moved it to the bumper. I now have a hole in my tailgate handle but oh well

Back when I had the STA I used a lockpick camera and just mounted it under the bumper by the receiver hitch....

I removed the plate light on that side and added a hyper white LED to the opposing side to illuminate the plate better. I say it illuminates the plate better than with two stock bulbs.
