A friend of mine has an 04 F150.n For about a month he has been having intermittent problems and I'm trying to help him track it down.
He will shut truck off and when he goes back to try to start he will get a check guage message on dash and truck will not crank. He has listened for the fuel pump when in this condition and cannot here it prime.
He has also come back to the truck at times and noticed the light on stereo is on bright??
Another thing he has noticed is his fuel mileage is down and at times he says it is "bucking" a bit when cold.
We have checked the Violet/ blk stripe wire in rear door sill and it does not look damaged in any way....checked the Fuel pump control module, it also appears to be fine.
Anybody experience similar symptoms?? Any ideas??
