license plate lamp cover replacement

I smashed my license plate lamp cover while backing up. The local stealer wants $25 for the plastic cover socket that pushes through the bumper and connects to the wiring socket. Does anyone know of an affordable internet site for an OEM replacement? The aftermaket replacements are too small but could be rigged with some adhesive as a last resort. Also, does anyone know what the Ford part number is for the piece ? thanks

What year are you looking for? I just replaced both on my 2005 for $20 off eBay. There are some on there now for about the same.

I'd go to a local junk yard. For a part like that they'll probably only charge you a couple of bucks at the most. That's not something that people usually come to them for, so I doubt that it'll cost much if anything.
