well since you have a coin holder i take it your truck is either a 2x4 or 4x4 with a stick on the floor to shift it. your truck is probably prewired for electronic 4x4 and that is where the switch would go instead of a coin holder. my bet is that is what the electrical harness is for. its just dummied into place.

Hit the nail on the head. Keeps it from dangling under the dash in 2X4's.

I absolutely LOVE the way you worded the subject of this thread, OP!

'Ending a sentence with a preposition is something up with which I will not put.'

Well done, sir!

Are we sure that English is his native language? It sounds like a common transposition error that a lot of foreigners use when English isn't their first language.

its for the heated coin holder. lol j/j but it is for electronic 4x4. instead of ford making a bunch of harnesses in 2x4 and 4x4 they just made 4x4 so it would be cheaper on their end.

I pondered that possibility. However, his main question seemed "proper" enough. Although, I would have added a comma before the conjunction "and" as it separates two thoughts that could, on their own, stand as complete sentences.

Since ending sentences with prepositions is a personal pet peeve, I like to think he was just being "proper".....at.

Watch out DewserB, I was called an "uberhater" for making grammer corrections on another forum. I was so upset [that] I changed my avatar nick name to uberhater.

Can that dead-headed plug be used as a power source?

Eh...I ain't skeert. 'Sides...most of these fellers 'round these here parts know I'm a jackass anyways. Harmless and always just jokin' 'round, but jackass nonetheless.

Being called a 'grammar ****', 'uberhater', etc would be a step up from the usual.
