Aftermarked Nav Headunit Conversation
Gang,
I've been lurking and searching and repeating daily on these forums (and others) trying to figure out what double-din headunit I should buy that can replace my crappy OEM standard radio.
One thing I'd really like to maintain is as much of a factory look as possible. The ebay models that claim OEM/factory look and run Windows CE just (i.m.o.) seem really cheap. They look good, but it frightens me that you can't buy those elsewhere and there's no reviews for them.
I've seen a few people that have Kenwood DNX7190HDs installed, but I've also heard the menus are a bit sluggish (why can't they get this straight!?)
I'd prefer to have a unit that has some physical buttons (like volume, for example).
So, my main concerns:
- factory-ish look
- not sluggish during bootup, or use
Can everyone provide their input on the latest units from first hand experience? I would love to see pics of different units you all have installed as well. I trust those of you with the same truck as me more than reviews I read elsewhere. I'd love to have a conversation on the latest and greatest in this department. It seems we're lacking that a bit now.
Thanks everyone!

I like the Pioneer units myself, but I have the factory NAV in my truck. I have owned many Pioneer head units, and all of them have been great quality with a ton of features. Kenwood makes good stuff, too, but I have only owned a few of their amps so I can't comment on their NAV units.
