Transmission ???

I have a 2004 F150 FX4 reg cab, 4WD with the 5.4 and 4r75W. I have a transmission issue that I can't figure out. Here is the problem;

If I come to a stop sign or in a drive thru somewhere going way slow; below 5MPH, or stop, the transmission seems to disengage (acts like it goes to nuetral). As I press the gas to increase rpm it then jumps into gear. It was really bad when i was on a hill last time. once moving or normal driving it works and shifts great even when running WOT it has strong solid shifts. The truck has 125,000 miles and the transmission was service at 123k. This is the trucks 3rd fluid exchange last one before the most recent was at 50k. It hasn't reared it ugly head this week seems to fine right now.

Just seeing what you guys know that I don't...Thanks

One other thing, I have the truck programmed by Troyer and it's loaded with the 91 performance tune. It has been running on that tune for over a year now.

Try returning the truck to stock and see if it goes away. Thats where I would start diagnosing.

Why don't you have a moderator move this thread to the transmission section..you might get more exposure that way.

Thanks for your input guys. I have recently at the request of my mechanic added BG transmission additive and motorcraft hypoid friction modifier. I haven't had a problem yet.

I removed the second thread as only one thread per subject is allowed. If you wish to have this thread moved at some point, PM me and I will do so.

Thanks
Jim
