Where is the Best Place to Tap into Reverse Wire for Back up Cam?

I want to wire in a back up cam and am curious where the closest wire is to the head unit that carries 12v in reverse. I'd like to not run a wire all the way to the rear of the truck if there is a place to splice in 2 ft away. Thanks in Advance.

Should be one close to the shifter. I could google it but then you wouldnt have the fun of searching.

Looking at the above post it would appear that there is a possibility that the stock radio harness carries a 12vt hot in reverse.... I will have to poke around with a tester this week end.

I am going to tap into the trailer harness for Hot and GND for the cam in the tailgate handle but I want to run the shortest wire possible for the Reverse trigger on the head unit.

I gotcha now. Where can that be accesses easily by pulling out the radio bezel. I am color blind so its hard for me to just dive into a wiring loom and find the proper color wires without knowing about where they are physically.
