Need some guidance on Axle shims

I am trying to get my pinion moved for better alignment due to vibration. wondering which way the fat end of the shim goes. trying to raise the back of the differential down and the front up. I did do a search but I guess I missed it.

The fat end should be at the back of the axle (you are facing forward looking towards the front end)

2 degree was not enough. Thanks for the help. Probably going to have to replace my pinion bearings.
