Slow Passenger Window
Slow Passenger Window
2005 Fx4 F150. My passenger window goes down fairly smooth. On the way up it starts out fine, then begins to slow down, sometimes stopping all together. Once it gets 2-3" to the top it speeds back up and goes fine. I think it is rubbing the window trim towards the front of the truck, because the trim is starting to bunch up at one spot. Looks like the window is rubbing it and pushes the trim up alittle bit each time.. Is this the window being outa track? Or should I just put some lube inside the window trim where the window rides?
you can adjust the window glass position. it should be toward the front. It requires dismantling the door.
Or it could be your regulator motor starting to die.
Search window regulator to see tons of posts about how to replace them. The same posts will inform you on how to adjust the glass.
When I put my new regulator in, it was slow at first. Then I remembered to adjust the glass forward and it fixed it.
