Headlights auto turn on sensor

Hello fellows, my headlights suddenly stopped working on auto mode, they do work manually. I am guessing the sensor, am I correct and where is it located?

Thanks in advance,

HM

Sunload sensor should be on the front area of the dash. They do go bad occationally, and are about $25 at Tasca parts. Make sure you order the one for auto-lamps.

Thank you for the input. I just realized the park and fog lights (when on) do turn on when dark so most probably the relay, hpefuly someone can help me locate it; no idea where it is.

Thanks again,

HM.

This happened to me as well. A common problem with the autolamps is the body control module. It controls when the lights come off and on in auto mode. Its located behind the rear seat on drivers side. Its also is the security module. If you pull off the rear seat and unplug the connector you might notice a pin is burned out. Not sure what the real cause but normally you have to replace the module which is pretty pricy and I think it must be programmed by the dealer. not sure on that one. You can try to clean the pins up if it is burned out to see if that will last. I did this and it only lasted a week or two.

Does anyone have a PDF showing the AutoLamp circuit? That would make it alot easier to identify possible problem points to trouble shoot.
