Slamair helpful hints needed

I'm getting ready to install the Slamair 59210 kit on my 2008 FX2 so I'm looking for any helpful suggestions from anyone who's already been through this.

I'm reading the instructions and I'm not understanding the importance of the following section:

Raising the vehicle
1. Raise the vehicle and remove the wheels.
2. Ensure that the vehicle is at the custom, lowered ride height. If not, raise the frame or lower the axle as necessary.
a. If the vehicle is raised with an axle contact hoist, place axle stands under the frame and lower the axle as needed.
b. If the vehicle is raised with a frame contact hoist, place axle stands under the axle and lower the frame as needed.
c. If the vehicle is raised with a jack and supported with axle stands on the frame, use a floor jack to raise the axle.

After taking the wheels off am I lowering everything back down to normal height to establish the location of the springs and frame for clearance, and then adjusting the frame height compared to the axle to the preferred height at the mimimum 10lb pressure?

I got as far as a quick mock up and had a question regarding the placement of the bracket for the bag. It appears that the only place to mount on a flip kit configuration so that the bracket is flush against the frame is further back than the holes in the L bracket will provide adjustment, do I need to elongate them?

Still looking for assistance, anyone have pictures of their bags installed? I know the bag needs to be as close as possible to the axle, but the frame section directly above the axle is not flat so I'm concerned that may not be correct.

Sorry for the delay. The L bracket will put the lower bracket back far enough so the upper bracket can mount on the flat part of the frame. Take a look at the 59210 Installation Instructions, page 4, figure 2b. You should not have to elongate that hole on the L bracket anymore than it already is. If you're right on the edge of the frame where it indents then that is okay too. Let me know if you have anymore questions. Thanks again for choosing Air Lift!

Thanks Randy. So would you say the L bracket is actually used to locate whole assembly?

I believe that's correct.
