Stock 18s with bigger tires?

Hey guys this is the deal. I need some new tires and I was thinking about going a little bigger than stock on the stock rims. What do you guys suggest and pics would be great so I can see what some of your setups look like? Lookikng to get a little more aggressive tire also. Right now Im running Good Year silent armours. I know there are a thousand tire threads on here, just trying to narrow it down. Thanks in advance.

Andy

33" TerraGrapp's would be my vote. I have 32" (285/60/18) TG's on the stock 18"ers 2WD and love 'em.

Thanks for the pics and the tips. Im thinking after seeing some of the pics Im probably going to stay with 295s or less. Love the way the bigger tires look I just dont know how much gas mileage I want to sacrafice. Also I dont have a leveling kit on the truck yet. How are the Nittos holding up for you guys and how are they for noise?

Here is another look at 295/70/18's on my truck, once again no rubbing. Just ordered another set I like these so much. Do note I have a leveling kit, without it you may have some fitment issues.

A good compromise may be 275/70-R18

I agree. The 295's do look really good and fill up the wheel well nicely. They are just not practical for me. I have the 3:55 gears and do more highway driving. When I replace my stock tires this fall, I am going with the 275/70-R18.

I just put on 275/70-18 BF Goodrich All Terrains. Happy with them so far. Like the look of those 295's but because I drive in a fair amount of snow I didn't want to go to that wide of a tire. The 275/70 fills up the front wheel well pretty good but no rubbing. Going to put a 1.5" level kit on the front just so it sits a little more level.
I noticed a slight loss of power/acceleration and mpg just going up that 1 size. I couldn't imagine how bad some of these guys trucks must be with 34" + tires.

Mine is sluggish as hell. Going to get a programmer/tuner to give some power back. May buy smaller tires when due, but these were on it when i bought it.......

I've got the 285/60/18's w/3.55LS and don't have any issues. It wasn't a speed demon to begin with though.

That should do pretty good actually. That's 1/2 shorter tire then stock.

I have a Edge programmer on mine already. I'll be honest I don't think it makes much difference. I think most of the power the tuners make is above 3k RPM which is outside what I do for daily driving so I really don't see any benefit from it.
It's a cool gadget and I enjoy being able to see different features and status from the unit but not sure it's a cure for running bigger tires.
