hey guys new to this paticular site, been using info from this and a few others like it for years, yaya i shoulda joined years ago, beat me with a sock.
anyway i need some input and ideas about what truck to pick out they both have there ups and downs and i dont want to pick one and then later decide i should have gone wih the other!

i dont know what motor it has or the price but im hoping for a 5.4 and its 87 miles away but its SWEET lookin

and i dont know if its 4wheel drive and it has the 4.6 =/ there both pretty freagin sweet lookin!

theres pros and cons to each but there minor once tomarrow rolls around i should know more as they are closed today.
if it matters what i want to do is
*cold air intake
*throttle body
*aero exhaust
any advice and thoughts would be muchly appreciated.

Get the 2008. It has less miles and is newer, no brainer

 

Well the 2008 is an stx which means it will also have the 4.6
i like the 2008 better either way! Hopefully you get the truck you want.

 

The 2006 is a lifted 2wd STX with a 4.6. The 2008 is a 4wd STX with a 4.6. Get the 08.

Forget the intake and throttle body - just do a Gotts mod to the stock airbox.

 

well thx for all the advice Ive decided to with the 08 price, condition depending if its not sold yet, I just got back from driving the 06 and it was in ruff condition all 4 tires had plugs, scratches all down the side, the cloth was stained black, the a/c barely worked, it had the oddest smell ever it was just like old bo and wet dog, blegh lol, and to top it off the motor has a tick, leaking freeze plug and leaking from the power steering pump and somewhere else, and they told me it was the belts and pulleys making that horrible sound =p lol

I guess i could always just get a stock f150 and give her a small lift myself
