Need help please!!!!

I need some help guys! My window regulator went out in my 05 FX4 SCREW, front passenger window. I bought a Dorman replacement from AutoZone for $139. Brought it home, took the door apart and took the old one out. After putting the new one in I quickly realized the new one had a pigtail wired into the motor with a square plug. The old one had a hole in the motor that the stock door wiring plugs into with a round plug!! Called AutoZone back and looked at Dormans website, both saying it is the correct regulator! Has anyone had this damn problem?? I need to get this figured out soon. Thanks for the help.

Can the motor be switched? (I know you shouldn't have to do that) Was it the motor that went out or the bogus plastic parts that broke and let the cable fail?

It's been a few years since I did mine, but I seem to remember a short cable that went from the motor to the square plug. Check the cable in the door and see if there is a square connector further up the wires.

Finally fixed the window..you were right JR, there was a square plug that had a pigtail attached to it that had a round plug on the end. It was completely taped up, didn't even see that it could be removed. Thanks for the help. Feels good to have a working window again!
