new truck. need some info

Hey guys new to the site but not new to ford trucks. I bought an 04 FX4 with 131000 miles... yes I know its high mileage but I got a good deal on it. I noticed it has the cam phaser issue but with this many miles do you think I should just keep running it... the noise doesnt really bother me considering my last truck was a diesel. last question it came with 3 inch body lift.... would leveling it cause any issues or should I leave it alone. thanks!

i have an 04 fx4 as well. i dont worry about the cam phaser deal much. sometimes it seems like its louder while other days i can barely hear it at all. so you have an unleveled truck with a BL? i bet that looks awkward haha adding a level kit wouldn't hurt anything, just make sure to get an alignment after

its a quad cab so it doesnt look to bad... but its def noticeable. I figured a good alignment would do it. just didnt know if it would stretch anything to far haha

Noisy cam phasers won't hurt anything, some people just don't like the noise and have them changed. And like 97isnotold said, you will be fine running a leveling kit with a body lift.

good deal! I see rough country has a 2.5 inch leveling kit for 99 bucks. Think I might go that route.

Rough Country makes a good kit and thats a good price for a leveling kit. You can also get autospring or hellbent steel kits, which are just as good, for $20-$30 less.
