getting my truck ready for a trip

I'm going on a little road trip in august and i wanted to know what maintenance i should do on my truck before leaving. i recently changed the spark plugs on my 5.4,got the oil change done, cleaned out the air filter, and got new tires. What else should i do to my truck before i leave?
also do you guys recommend getting the fuel injectors cleaned? i heard that when you get them cleaned it makes the spark plugs dirty, is this true?

Depending on when you last had the trans fluid, diff's and transfer case fluid changed it might not be a bad idea. Also depends on how many miles you have on your truck also.

Throw a bottle of Techron in the gas.

I drove my truck 1000 miles last week and didnt do anything to 'prepare' the truck. I didnt even check the air in the tires.

If your truck is well maintained you shouldnt have to do anything special. Just gas it up and go.

What PJB said, if your maintenance is up to date, check things visually, put gas in it and go. If something happens on the road, get a tow and take care of it. I dont see the point of spending a ton of extra time and money to change every fluid at half their life, unless there seems to be a problem.

I towed a 12 foot Uhaul (approx. 5000 lbs) 1200 miles from Waco, TX to Winston-Salem, NC in May with no problems. I had the oil changed and went. Then there was a 2000+ mile trip back to Denver from NC. Im getting ready to reverse the trip next week and I dont have any worries. Neither should you.

Only thing i would suggest, and it may not be anything wrong with it, is to check the fuel pump control module under the spare tire for corrosion. Im glad i checked mine before i went on vacation because it was pretty crummy looking. Only other thing i did besides a service was change the belt and fuel filter.
