2006 5.4 Cylinder Head Temp Increasing...

Hello all,
First time posting here, so here goes.
2006, F150, 5.4, 120k, Edge Prgrammer.

Generally, according to my Egde Evo, my cyl head temp is around 204. Today, driving to work, I noticed it was at 216(Only been to 216 before while pulling trailers). Once I got to work, about and hour drive down the interstate, it was hovering around 218. Let it sit at an idle for around 15 minutes, and it increased to 224. This is the highest it has ever been. I have also noticed my ECT is elevated as well to around 206-208. While I understand, these temps are withing acceptable parameters, I am concerned about the sudden increase, and what is causing it. I have gathered so far that the ECT is inferred from the CHT, but figured if there was a cooling problem, my ECT would be a lot higher than what it is. I also noticed that once I had shut the engine off, the fan(mechanical) continued to spin for appx. 5-7 seconds. That seemed a little too long for me, and made me question the possibilty of the fan clutch going bad, and possibly effecting the coolant temp, which would in turn effect the cyl. head temp??? On a side note, the fan clutch was already replaced once at around 40k.

Any ideas?
Thanks

Update-
Got home last night around 11. After my cruise on 95, where the CHT stayed around 214-216 the entire way, I parked and let my truck run for around 15 minutes again. The CHT this time increased to 234 and the ECT went up to 214. Having suspicions with the fan, I sprayed the radiator with the hose for a few minutes to cool everything down. I then checked my guages again, and was surprised to see little to no change...went back to the engine and noticed that the upper radiator hose was barely warm, and the lower was cool??? For a temp reading of 214-234, i shouldn't be able to grab hold the hose. This led me believe that the radiator/fan are operating properly. I then felt the T-stat housing, which was hot. Could this problem be as simple as a t-stat being defective and not letting enough coolant through? I am going to pick one up in a few hours and see what happens next. Pretty confident that this is a cooling problem, but where? Water pump seems to be operating fine(no noise/leaks). Is is possible to have some kind of blockage in the coolant system? Truck still has original coolant, and never been flushed.

Do you have E-Fans on this truck or the stock fan and fan clutch? As for the head temps, I would change out the T-stat first and if that doesn't resolve it, drop the radiator and flush it. After that I would start to look at the water pump. Regardless you are trouble shooting the proper pieces of the puzzle.
