changed sparkplugs now have a idledown issue
Ok changed the sparkplugs now the truck does not idle down right , when in geer the truck idles at 5000 or lower, so when you give it gas and let off it will die 90% of the time, could there have been a sincer gone bad or do I have a bad set of plugs. I hade the computer unhooked could something have happened to the programing.
If you disconnected the computer, it has to relearn.
Disconnect the battery for 20 minutes and reconnect it. Start it up and let it idle till it's fully warmed up. Go drive it and see if it improves.

If you disconnect the negative battery cable with the headlights on, or disconnect the negative battery cable, and touch the positive battery, you won't have to wait for the PCM to reset. The reason for the long wait when just disconnecting the negative battery cable alone, is it takes the decoupling capacitors on the PCM non-switched 12V input awhile to discharge without providing an external current path to discharge them.
I think I fixed the problem, I disconected the battery for about an hour and cleaned the throttle body hooked it all back up let it run untill it got to full running temp. when I started the truck the wrench light came on when it got to full running temp the truck died, I restarted it and it run very smooth but the check engine light came on. So I let the truck cool back off for a few hours and disconected the battery again and let it go to full temp, now the truck runs very smooth I will drive it today on a good trip to check things out. One of the two things I did fixed the truck maybe both the throttle body was very dirty, now the truck runs as good as when I first bought it O there are no warning lights on in the dash now. THANKS FOR THE INFO EVERYBODY Just to tell you all I broke all eight plugs and I was very carefull taking them out it just wasen't to be for me that day so good luck taking those plugs out I have 76 thousend miles on the truck.

FISH if you would do exactly what I did you will fix your problem. My truckwas also misfiring , but I did change out 2 sparkplugs that I just put in, now im not shure they were bad the truck was doing all kinds of things untill I got the computer going right. Try that first
i put them on and cleaned the throttle body but it still acts like it is misfiring and wont stay idleing no engine lites or anything inside I also disconnected the battery for over an hour and started it up and let it run till it was fully warmed up then it died and now wont idle

What brand of spark plugs did you use? Go back and check all vacuum lines and all connections Make sure you did not put a connector onto the wrong COP or Injector it is possible to do if not paying attention.
