Did you ever find this part number? I was grabbing some stuff from behind the seat and must have bumped this cover. Broke it right where the bolts hold it on. I have been unable to find it online.

Seems like it would be relatively inexpensive just to go to the dealership for this part.

I fixed mine.My cousin works at a plastics plant. He took one of the broken peices to work and poured some plastic into the holes.I cut the slugs down to about 3/8" and drilled a hole in the center and bolted them back up.I told my cousin he needs to sell this idea to Ford or any aftermarket company.

ok? $20 for the part isn't really breaking the bank in my book, and you don't have to drive all over town looking for a junkyard version, or pay to ship it to your house. It's not like you are buying several of these, or even more than once, lol. Buy it for $20 and go on.

If you choose to buy another one and it breaks like the others then you have more money then you need.
Just fix it like I did and NEVER worry about it again!

Had this happen to me sometime last year. I took the broken piece to the dealership parts department and had the guy look it up. He had to order it came the next day. I picked it up and installed it once I got home took less thn a minute to put it in.

No one is bashing you for how you solved your problem, but that method just isn't really available to most people. Also, it's a bit early to say it will NEVER break as you'd only had it back in the truck for a few days. Yours may have broken, but it may not be all that common of an ocurance, so simply buying one from the dealership may be the only time you break one.

The method in which mine is repaired is the same as taking a washer and wedging it into the hole then re-attatching the part. Also,I have pushed and pulled on the part with more pressure then how the door broke it and can say it will NEVER break again!
