Cracked Exhaust manifold Need Advise

Have a 2005 Supercrew with 5.4 motor and have noticed a ticking sound from drivers side . Had it looked at and have a crack in the manifold. So do I change to headers or just replace it with factory? Will the headers help any? Also what brand headers are the best for our motor? I would go long instead of short. Who has the best price? Any help would be great as have never run headers.

Alot of guys like the jbm headers. If u go with long, u will have to have some exhaust work done. The shorties bolt right up in factory location.

Also its ALOT of workbto replace manifolds. Took me and a mechanic 7 hours to do it in his garage to my passenger side. Aldo pray u dont break a stud espedially on the bottom of the engine. Absolutely no room to work on passenger side.

So if you go headers you have to replace both sides. Imo, just buy a Dorman manifold and replacment studs. Cost $90. I bought mine from Advance Auto Online. Use the code VISA at check out and get a nice discount. I chose the option to pick up in store so no shipping.
