Windows Inop With Driver Door Open

Windows all inop when Driver's door open but all work with door closed,I am assuming there must be a wire issue in the driver's door has anyone else had this issue?

Pull the rubber accordion sleeve from the door to the cowl post back and you'll probably find the ground wire (probably black and fairly large) is broken. There has been an issue with that ground wire for a while because the wire is to stiff and ends up breaking from the flexing of opening and closing the door. If you find that's the problem, just use a "loop" of the same size wire to do the repair rather than trying to re-connect the broken ends. That will take the stress off of it and keep it from breaking again. A loop of about 4 or 5 in. in diameter should do fine. The wire likely touches (broken ends) with the door closed but doesn't make good enough contact with it open.
