Rev Limiter Setting?

What is the stock setting of the rev limiter on the '08 with a 5.4L?

I upgraded the software on my Edge CTS and, for whatever reason, the default setting was in the high 3,000 RPM range. I've since set it to 5,000 RPM but bumped into fuel cutoff while accelerating on the highway entrance ramp. I don't want to set it too high but yet I want to get it out of the way for my driving.

Thanks.

Set it to 5400 rpm, and make sure all your WOT shift points are 5000 or lower.

Thanks glc. Much appreciated. Soon as the rain clears out I'll be updating my CTS.

I'll offer an alternate opinion.

Set the limiter to 6,000 rpm.

Set yer 1-2 shift point to 5200-5400, yer 2-3 to 5,200 and yer 3.4 to 4,800.

A little less conservative, but still safe.

Headroom should be around 600 rpm.

The reason I suggested 5400 is not engine issues, it's torque converter issues. WOT shift points must be at least 400 rpm under the limiter so it won't cut out on the overshoot.
