I'm the same way haha. I've been shopping around for a couple weeks now. I don't trust my ability to do it but luckily our top mechanic at work has done it before and told me that he'd do it for free if I paid for the parts and whatnot.

Lucky you. If I wait till after summer I can have a friends son who is in autotech class do it for cheap. He will be a senior and the teacher used to work at the ford dealership, so they know what they are doing. Only downside is the 3.55s that are there now suck towing. Fine otherwise. We will see if I end up making it through the summer with the current setup or get them done soon.

The rustoleum bedliner spray has worked the best and held up well. Had to do a little touch up here and there, but nothing bad. I pulled them off, sanded the chrome down for better adhesion, primered and then painted. Like I say holding up pretty well. Tried plastidip over them just to try it out and wasn't overly impressed. Made it a couple months then peeled in the car wash. Just recently sprayed rubberized undercoat on them to add some texture. Looks similar to rhino line, which would be nice, but fairly spendy.

Sometimes it's all about who ya know haha. I'd think theyd be able to do it.I've got the 3.55s as well. I haven't jumped up to 35's yet so I haven't experienced a noticable loss in power.

Thanks for the info, I was going to try the plasti dip route just for starters but now I won't waste my time. Like the new pictures too, the trick looks great!

You could try plastidip to see if you really like the black bumpers, but wouldn't consider it to be very permanent.
