Headlight Bulbs

Got some new headlights comming was thinking I would change bulbs.
Been running the silverstar ultras but they do not last long.
Are they still the best out there or are there others that are better now
that you guys have personel experience with?

Ah the old brighter bulb gimmick! Well it's just that, a gimmick, they are all the same unless you buy an "Off-Road Use Only" Bulb. In my honest opinion Sylvania Silverstars and Silverstar Ultras are a waste of your hard earned dollars, I know this, I used to buy them. The downfall to these bulbs is they have a coated bulb, which over time deteriorates and turns black or peels off, so essentially your paying all that extra money for a "whiter" looking light when the actual light output is the same as a bulb you can get from walmart. I run Sylvania ExtraVisions now, cost less, last longer and don't appear to have a tinted coating on the bulb. Hope that helps.

I've got the regular Silverstar bulbs and they're noticeably brighter than stock. Been in the truck 4 years now.
