I just bought my '05 F-150 a few weeks ago and it did not come with a remote fob. I bought one off Amazon.com and it came with very simple instructions on how to program (whatever you do, don't buy from a dealership, it will cost you 20x too much). The instructions that came with the remote said to turn the key on/off 5 times, however, it did not program the remotes. I googled it and found a site saying to try turning the key 8 times...Long story short, I got the remote programmed, but I started having a blue light shine from the compass module onto the dash whenever the truck was off. I followed the programming steps again (but only did 5 turns) and the light shut off. It makes a clicking noise 2-3 times when you turn it 5 times, it sounds sort of like an electrical switch. I have no idea what it is doing...

I haven't noticed any differences in performance/functions when the light is either on or off. What does the light indicate/do?
