replacing a hose

I was in the process of changing out the TPS on a 2004 f150 5.4l when I decided to remove the hose in front of it for better clearance. Messed up and broke the elbow part. Not sure what this hose is for but it runs along the back over to a connection on the drivers side. I guess it is some kind of crankcase hose? Now that I have broken it how do I get it off without using a saw blade and how does the other end come off? The parts place said there should be a tool to unsnap these connections. I believe this hose will have to be purchased at the dealer? thanks

definitely need a picture or some better descriptions of what it connects to...

My best guess (based on this very limited knowledge) is that you might have broke the vacuum hose going to the vacuum booster??????

That was it. I finally got the local Ford place to track it down after they ordered it wrong the first time. I had to go place my hand on the part in order for the parts person to know what it was.

Thanks
