A ELM327 isn't a code reader - it's an OBD2 to PC interface device.

Yea fuse was gone, But now I think i got ripped off. I took my truck in last week with a code, they told me it was a mess of codes and made no sense.

How could they read the codes if the fuse was blown in the cig lighter. It has been blown for a while.

Lightbulb You bought the wrong one most likely

Did you purchase your Bluetooth OBD2 reader from Ebay or Amazon? If so there is about a 90% chance you did get ripped off. Most of the ones coming from China they basically leave out half the needed componants to save money. They will still function on MOST cars but not ALL...... namely FORDS! DOH!

I had your same problem happen to me before when I bought one of the crappo cheapos from Ebay. But then a friend sent me to a store called BAFX Products and they had a much higher quality one for only a couple bucks more and I couldn't be happier! I did open them both up to try and see the differences in them and well..... It didnt take much looking to see the problem, over half the need parts were not in the first one I got!

So if you want a bluetooth OBD reader that WILL work with your Ford....... check out this one: http://bafxpro.com/Elm327-type-Bluetooth-OBD2-Scan-Tool-For-Android-or-laptops-2.htm
