Power steering leak

Truck is an '07 4.6, 4x4. Took it in for an inspection the other day & the shop found a leak in the power steering lines from the cooler to the resevoir & from the rack to the cooler. I called 2 dealers & both have the line from the rack to the cooler in stock for about $60 bucks. However, both dealers infromed me that the line from the cooler to the resevoir bottle has been on backorder for months & they don't have any idea when that line will be available. One dealer told me to call NAPA as they supposedly had an aftermarket line available. Called NAPA, out of stock & unavailable. So, now what? Short of having a new line made up, what to do? I can't believe Ford is not supplying this line as apparently this a known issue on these trucks. Any help would be appreciated. They passed the inspection but I'm tired of topping off the resevoir.

Go to the yellow pages and look up Hydraulic Repair. A local hydraulic shop should be able to make just about any hose you need. Might need to take them your hose to use as a template.

I have the same problem. Ordered from Rockauto.com both hoses. The cooler to reservoir line was 33.90 shipped.
