long tube header fitment 07 4.6

this is also in the exhaust area been there for a few days and have got no replies maybe i will here.

I will make this shorter then my post in other area if you would like to read it go for it.

Basically my question is i found long tube headers saying they will fit everything but a 4.6 2wd, also emailed them to confirm this. Of course mine is a 07 4.6 2wd. the same headers say will fit even a 5.4 3v 2 or 4wd. I most have missed something cause i dont think this is possible.

anyway of far as i know the only difference is torsion bars and of course a front diff, ect. there claiming the headers will not clear. I didnt think there was much difference in either truck not enough to effect the fitment of headers anyway. Just wondering if anyone happened to have installed these and whats your thought on this. I only want them to clear and bolt to the block, could care less about the other. Do you think they will fit?

btw there pacesetter black long tubes for about $250. found them on summit website. will provide more details if needed. thanks

hey man, i too am in the market for a set of long tube headers for my 07 4.6 2v 2wd. the only ones i have seen are from stainless steel works. but their like 1200$. i called the company a while back and they also tried to sell me the exhaust system along with the headers, but i dont remember the specifics about it.

also, before when i was doing some searching, i did find a post on one of the f150 forums, saying that one of the sets of headers will fit our models, i canr remember which one they said will fit, but all that needs to be changed is that a new o2 bung needs to be welded in.

also just an fyi that may aid in the search, the stainless steel works headers say their good for an 04-08 4.6 2v 2wd, maybe it will help since its not such a narrow search.

im bookmarking this page so that when/if i find the post, ill put it on here to let you know. if you happen to find out any info, please let me know. had i know it was gonna be this hard to find this stuff i would have opt'd for the 5.4

I have an 07 4.6 as well. I am interested in this as well. To be honest maybe just try? By them and do some looking and test fitting. Worst you could do is waste a little time and I am sure return them especially to Summit. $250 is not bad either I think its worth the risk. If they will work great then sent them off to have them powder coated.
