Question How many idler pulleys do I need?

I have a gatorback belt on the way. I want to replace the belt tensioner and idler pulleys but I see several different ones available to purchase. How many are there? Are there one smooth and one grooved?

2005 F150 XLT with 5.4 and A/C

Thanks for any help

Not that it matters, but why would you replace them unless there is an issue? The belt is preventive maintenance, but the idlers/tensioner is probably fine unless you suspect a problem.

There is some noise and I suspect one of them has bad bearings. Not sure which one though.

So figure out which one it is instead of dropping a ton of money to replace everything.

Should be able to remove the belt and spin by hand and tell if a bearing is going bad. Normally they don't have to be running to hear it.
