I have been searching around for months about dyeing tan leather seats. I see a ton of posts about the KR leather seats but i just cant seem to find anything about any other leather.

I have a 04 Lariat Screw, and my drivers side seat color is fading and starting to look a little rough. I am looking for someone that has dyed the tan leather seats and if it was a good experience or not?
Where can i find a leather dye that will match or get close to matching the factory color? I purchased some dye for my steering wheel and that turned out great but now i want to do my seat?!

Any help with this would be great!!! Thanks again for the help!!!

I remember someone saying a while back that the leather seats in the lariats are actually a special paint. Been a while though so I may not be remembering correctly...

 

Did you ever get an answer? I just bought a 2004 f150 Lariat 4 x 4 and want to dye my seats a darker color.

 

So.... you have a $14 solution or a $200...

You can get a whole new leather seat bottom cover off of ebay for $200. Just replace.

You can also get a can of SEM Color Coat or SEM Classic Coat. It's a flexible paint. The light tan is called Lt Parchment but best to look at your door stick and cross reference. It's basically a flexible spray on paint. You can also use it on the plastic door panel's etc. There are video's on UTUBE showing you step by step.

There are a couple of "Rubs" that do the same thing. SEM seems to be the best choice and is pretty reasonably priced.
