Those suck in the rain. I think the Philips Extreme power bulbs are one of the best bulbs for these trucks. I have had no complaints what so ever with mine and I'm about a year into the,. Replacing them in a couple of months so I keep the bulbs fresh and bright.

I have Silverstars and like them. Yes, they seem brighter than stock. But that's only because the stock have dimmed over time.

A hand full of cars have flashed their high beams at me while I have my low beams on. This never happened with the stock bulbs. Also, when they do that, I pull the high beam lever back and flash them with the high beam and low beam combo. They don't like that.

I bought the silverstars based on previous posts with similar photos. While they do show better on garage doors and walls as this thread suggests, on dark roads there appears to be no difference. I personally wouldn't pay the premium price in the future for these.

I've used Silver Stars for probably close to 10 years in everything I've owned.... the last set I bought in June of last year were really nice and bright for a couple of months and then they started fading out really fast. One of the ricer guys that I work with told me he's seen it a lot lately in his circle of car guys he hangs out with. I think, just like when burgers all got smaller and sold for the same old price at all the fast food joints.... They made Silver Star Ultras (just repackaged Silver Stars with a higher price) and then sold us a lower quality bulb in a regular Silver Star package at the same outrageous price as they've always had.

just my 2 cents.....

I have them in my truck, in my bike and in my wifes Jeep..... I have no idea why though.

I like Silverstars but they burn out too quick...even tells you on the package because they have to burn the filament at a higher temp...Its actually pretty financial genius of them...sell you a product for twice the cost that last half as long...Brilliant...

Not too sure myself. If you google them and get some reviews/or do a small search on here might find some good feedback.

Found one for you:

http://www.amazon.com/Philips-9007-X.../dp/B00480N16S

One had commented that these are made in Germany instead of China.

Hope this helps, can get kind of an idea.
