Lunchtime Score.

So we're a little slow at work this week so I took my laptop today. Got done eating lunch and decided to check Craigslist, 10 minutes from work I scored a set of 2011, power, signal , heated mirrors!!!! $100 for the pair. Already did the PTM, slap em on tomorrow and get the dumbo manual ones off.

Question...will these - http://dallas.craigslist.org/dal/ptd/2799672462.html - fit and work with my 08 XLT. My stock mirrors are just power, no signal.

Yes they will work you will have to move pins around inside the plug to get it to work.

What I did was go to a junk yard and pulled the harnesses out of a 04 and pulled the harnesses out of my 09 mirrors and swapped them.

Any pictures or more detail on what exactly you did to get it to work? Would I have to find a 08 like mine that has the nicer mirrors, and try to get its harness?

My truck is a xlt I found a lariat. Basically the entire mirror comes apart and you can get the harnesses out. So i swapped harnesses with each mirror I tried to mount the 09 mirror before swapping harnesses and nothing worked. My truck came with just electric mirrors but when i hooked up the new harnesses and mirrors that had turn signals everything worked. Now my new mirrors also had heated mirrors and auto dimming those features didn't work wasn't to worried about those features but I have heard people getting the heated part to work but it way to much work IMO.

Solid find and nice truck!!

I managed to snag a great deal thanks to craigslist on a set of 04-08 mirrors (Power, Heated, Turn Signal) for $80.00. I won't have to mess with the harness, just swap the skull cap.

Looks great man! I love seeing other blazing yellow 04's on here. I just bought a set of power, heat, signal tow mirrors for my truck.
