will a 09+ front bumper fit 06-08

tired searching only to find info on rear bumpers. i want to know if a 09+ front bumper will fit a 06-08 im sure its not a direct fit on, just wondering if brackets might be the same, i did have a 09 for a short while, and i remember them having the same frame under them but cant remember about the front, i have an 07. wondering if all i need to do and remove the old bumper along with the bumper brackets (the ones on that bolt to the bumper with 4 screws each then to the end of the frame with 2 bolts) and then just bolt the brackets to the new 09 bumper, or it there more to it then that? im really wishing i wouldve looked harder at the 09 i had before i got raid of it, i did however switch the side mirrors out i like them alot better.

it will fit if you customize some bumper brackets. There is a guy on here doing a raptor conversion who got his OEM raptor bumper to fit his 06, but he had to do a bunch of custom fabrication.

Even if it did bolt on, it'll look awful. The bumper is a totally difference shape. It won't line up with the upper bumper at all. Unless you're doing the entire front end (hood, fenders, bumper, upper bumper, lights), it won't look good.

i had also thought of changing out the front clip but then i would have to swap out the fenders then the flair want match with the back, next thing i know ill have a 09 body kit on a 07 with who knows how much money.

i dont think there that much different shape, i was wondering about the upper bumper as it would not have the some shape and bends, i might be able to make something work but as far as keeping it cheap is a different story. and the 09+ bumpers are not coming cheap as far as i see.

i did a little searching today and found that the 09+ bumpers have different brackets however they do have the some shape to bolt onto the truck. as far as it lining up with the upper bumper i have no clue.

i have an xl switched to the fog converison bumper, however about 2 weeks ago, a car run into it, it got right in my way, ended up bending it petty good, i still had my old bumper i was able to switch back, i found only to have the pass side bracket bent a little. no frame damage and of course my bumper, i was able to pull the bracket out put the old bumper on and ride with that, and it was prefect. meantime i was working on the bent one, got it all nice and pretty again gloss black not very hard color to find. everything bolted back on however, the bumper on the pass side looks to be setting in, or the upper bumper is sticking out, now i have checked, measured and checked again. compared everything to my dads 06, and everything is perfect, inclueding the frame, i compared 3 bumpers to this one and found nothing to be out enough to make this difference.

anyone have any ideals?

Firstly, 09+ bumpers are totally different shape. Second, you need two people to put the bumper back on. Yours just isn't lined up right. It's really easy to mess up. Just keep playing with it.

i had two people lift it/hold it up while i bolted it on, with even the help of two jacks to push it up this isnt my first doing this as i have switched out many before. sorry if i sounded rude, im not trying to be just the damn thing has pissed me off, i have had it on and off more times then i want to count and at one time i put it back on by myself before dont ask how, but i did and it looked fawless, i just think the thing is dent/bent somewhere im not seeing or something else has twisted during the 5mph impact, yeah that slow dented the bumper still wondering about that too. and it was a small car with a plastic bumper, all it did was bend his plate. of course all the impact went to that one side of the bumper trying to turn to miss him. but still the matter of the fact, even the fog lights went back to the way the where before the wreck telling me right off the bat that normally would never happen, but it did, so that means its lined up and setting the way it was. but way it looks like it does who knows. like i said unless someone actually says it looks stupid and i get enough people telling me that every day then i might do something about it, i have better things to buy, such as my underdrive pulleys for troyer. coming soon.

thanks for everyones help.
