Auto headlights on 2007 XL with power group?

I was wondering if anyone knows if there's a way to make the auto headlights work on my 2007 F150 XL. It has the power group (windows, locks, etc) and has the sensor up on the dash. I'm not sure if there's a way to see if the autoheadlamps will work on this truck, anyone know?

Anyone know how to remove the sensor on the dash? If I can get to it I can ground the wire to see if that works if I ground the wire and short pins 6 to 2 on the light switch to complete the circuit...

is flipping a switch really so hard? I mean, c'mon, you bought an XL afterall... the fact you have power anything is a miracle.

No need to rag on the guy just because he has an XL...afterall, you have xl in your sn so you must have liked them at one point

Our STXs stock werent so great either, plus the late '07-'08 XL SuperCrews had power options.

You had an XL as well that you converted to power doors and locks. Is rolling the windows up manually so hard? Is locking the doors manually so hard? Haha

You guys all crack me up. And to answer the question, yes! It's funny the things you get use to. I just went through a divorce after being married almost 20 years. I lost half my company, my house, my horse, my DOG (gonna miss my dog), and I no longer get to see my kids every day. My income is so much smaller right now, I can no longer afford a nice new truck and had to buy what I could afford. Why can't I have auto headlights?

One of the things about forums is figuring things out. It's fun learning about trucks and helping others. Now, back to my thread please. I think the only thing I need is the switch and to make sure that the wire goes to ground to complete the circuit for auto headlights. I was just hoping to find someone that had explored this but when I have time I'll look into it more. Maybe I will be the first to do it and help OTHER people out there who despite having an XL want to have auto lamps! lol

wow... didn't realize my making a sarcastic joke would be taken so harshly, yes I did convert my old XL to power equipment... but rolling a window down is more work than simply flipping a light switch lol.

however, if you get it to work, this is most certainly a mod I would consider on my STX which has the factory power equipment

Sometimes it's hard to know when people are joking with text but it's all good as far as I'm concerned. ; )

It rained so much I didn't get the chance to do it but hopefully will soon. I'll post when I can do it. It would help if I knew how to get the sensor out to follow the wires. I forgot to pick up a service manual...
