I have a electrical question

Last winter I headed upnorth to do some ice fishing. I was borrowing a trailer to haul my snowmobile. I noticed that my tail lights on my truck seemed brighter than usual, they seemed to get bright, then dim a bit. I didnt think anythign of it until about 20 miles up the road, they went back to normal. When we got upnorth, i took a look at the light plug on the trailer and noticed it was wired wrong.

The next morning i started my truck and went to the lake. we got to the parking spot and i shut it off. When we decided to move, my truck wouldnt start (it had been sitting for about 5 mins). My gauges made a clicking sound and they were fluttering for about 5 to 8 seconds. Jumped my truck and it seemed fine for the rest of the weekend

Now, about a year later, my truck did the same thing again, this time i drove it to the store, shut it off while my wife sat in the truck with the radio on for 10 mins.( wouldnt start and my guages fluttered again??)

I was wondering, you think i messed something up with my electral by having that trailer wired wrong?? sorry for the long story, just wanted to include everything

Thanks for any advice
Greeno

It sounds like you have a bad battery right now. The gauges clicking happens when its not getting enough power.
Check to make sure that you didn't blow a fuse or anything from the trailer, otherwise you should be fine
