vibration between 48mph till 62mph

hey guys new to the forum here. ive read alot on here but this is my first post. i just bought a 05 king ranch f150 screw.
sorry to bring up a old topic but i have yet to find a deffinite answer.

like the thread topic says i have a vibration between 48 mph till 62ish and then it goes away, i have had the tires balanced twice. thats not the problem. it feels like a drive train issue. the dealership said they will cover what ever the problem is. my theory is either not enough additive in the rear diff, or something in the tranny because it is worse when its in overdrive, seems like thats to slow of a speed and its lugging in overdrive. hopefully someone here has had this problem resolved instead the guessing things that ive read on the interwebs. let me know if you guys what more info.

id like to solve this before i put on mylevel kit and 295 70 18 nitto trail grapplers

if the dealer said they would cover whatever it is, I would take it in and have them figure it out. ONLY if its not going to come out of your pocket though!

What tire are you running now? I had the same issue and it was a bad tire and balancing wouldn't help. Easy way to tell is to rotate tires front to back, when I had the bad tire in the back the vibration was barely noticeable. Easy thing to check anyway and eliminate.

currently i have the stock rugged terrains with 95000 miles. and we swapped them front to rear already with no noticable change.ps the tires are worn out,new tires have been ordered

problem is i need my truck for work so leaving it there till they solve the problem is not convenient, the dealer is gonna try all the cheaper fixes before changing trannys and rear ends lol. id like to walk in, tell them what ive read on this forum and let them diag from there.

Could be the E-Brake issue.

So I took it to a dealer today. They took it for a drive, and then reflashed the PCM. They told me they installed 4 updates and it should run better now. So I took it home and it didn't change a thing.
Plus they broke my shifter cap off, WTF!

Guess it goes back tomorrow

I know this is a long shot but many people have complained of this vibration and it turned out to be dried stuck mud on the back of the wheel that they never noticed before. Just a thought and something to check.

Not sure what tires you have but I had the same from the crappy factory wranglers that came on my truck. A lot of people can never seem to get these aligned right for whatever reason. Fixed it for me when i installed my nittos.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I had brand new nitto trail grapplers installed yesterday. I was hoping it was the factory tires because they were worn out but that's not the case.

The dealer has tried 2 things now, both of which didn't cost them anything in parts. I'm seeing a pattern.

It could be the driveshaft. If you have a universal joint going out, it can have vibration issues. It could also be potentially dangerous if the shaft turns loose. I'd crawl underneath and give the driveshaft a good shake at each joint and see if you can detect movement. Have you noticed any squeaking on take off in the past?

I had excessive uncorrected driveline angle. nothing else had any affect on fixing it. after installation of a shim kit all of the vibration went away.

Which shim kit do you mean? Inside the rear end?

95k on the truck - have the spark plugs ever been changed? You may be having a low grade misfire.
