stealer ship might be the easiest way but $$$$.

you can get keys with the chip inside but to program it in, you must have two working keys.

as for the door code, there should be a small card in the owners manual / info with the code if not the code is on the front of the controller box located behing rear seat, or the dealer can down load this info for you.

search forums for info on pulling back seat and programing keyless entry.

i went to dealer because i bought my truck used and only got 1 key and FOB so i had dealer get code and make new keys / program them and new FOBS with the new keys

door code, as FF301 posted this is on the VSM behind the rear seat or rear panel trim panel if it is a std cab truck. This is the factory 5 digit code.

The key, few routes.
1. Dealer or PATS enabled locksmith can cut and program the 2nd key for you ( this is actually erasing the previous keys and adding the 2 back in ).

2. Some locksmiths have RFID clone key makers that read the RFID tag from the key you have, and burn the same RFID tag into a new key.
2.1 This is not having a 2nd key as in programming another new key or something like a remote start PATS bypass.
2.2. This will work fine for if you lose your key type cases so you are not SOL.

The 1st item is the best one to take, but if money is a concern, the 2nd item will work jsut fine so you are not stranded, just keep in mind you will need to get a 2nd PATS key if you ever want to install a remote start ( so you can program the PATS bypass )

The code for my keyless entry was on a card put in with the owner's manual. Im guessing thats where a previous owner stashed it.

I had a locksmith make my second key and bought remotes on ebay.
