new wd40 rust release penetrating spray

Has anyone used the new wd40 rust release penetrating spray while changing the notorious spark plugs I'm getting ready to change my plugs and thought about using this new spray.

Normally silicates do not appear on the MSDS but I don't see any reason for there to be any in the formulation. It's basically solvents and a light GpIII base oil. Don't know how good it'll work but it shouldn't do any damage either. Silicates in a lube can cause instant wear on parts in a boundary lube state which is what your engine mostly sees.

How would rust release work any better than caeb cleaner. It's carbon that is the problem.

Ok, try it and let us know!

Back in the late 80s, I had a friend that was in the military and he had some stuff he had gotten at the base shop. It was in a army green squirt can and was used as a penetrating oil/fluid. That stuff had a horrible stink to it. We called it Skeeter Pee.
