ABS question

So, we got a decent amount of snow last night, and the roads were not the greatest. Driving home from work last night, on a couple of occasions, the ABS kicked in when stopping. I was also listening to the radio at the time, and every time the ABS kicked in, a weird noise came through the speakers... like a hiss or squeal. Is this normal? I never noticed this last winter, and never had a problem like this with my old 2006 either.

If the roads were slick then I'd say it's normal for abs to kick in. I'd just ignore it for now and if it doesn't stop after the weather gets better then worry about it. Trucks and vehicles in general tend to do weird things when temps get low and things get packed with snow.

Do you have OEM radio and OEM speakers???

Somehow the ABS electronics must be causing interference with the radio.

Were you listening to a radio station? Maybe change the station and see if it repeats? I suppose the interference could be specific to a radio band?

i have the factory MP3 Audio system... I was listening to a Chicago AM station, so that might have been partly to blame. I'll pop a CD in or something and see if it still does it.

Thanks for the responses!

Am channels really pick up static. On my friends old truck any time he even put it on am it would interfere with the throttle. Sounded like a rally car through the speakers. I'd say am is the sole cause of the noise...
