Woodgrain 04-06?

I have an 04 Lariast Screw that has the faulty ashtray that everyone talks about on here. found a guy that has woodgrain ashtray from an 06. Did Ford use the same woodgrain across the models, or did it vary.

I was told I have White Oak Woodgrain:

this is the woodgrain in question:

I just want to make sure its the same. that looks darker than mine, but it could be the lighting?

My 05 has dark "woodgrain", and has the same rattling ash tray.

What I did was get some weather stripping and put a one inch piece behind each side on the dash side. It makes it tight when you push it in to click it shut.

im not talking about a "rattling ashtray" im talking about an ashtray that wont click back into place closed. it kept hanging up until it finally broke i guess. It seems the few things I need are impossible to find without spending an arm and a leg

Huh, that's unfortunate. I haven't had either problem, yet.

Just keep checking Ebay, local junk yard or maybe give Tasca Ford a call. Shouldn't be that expensive. GL.

man I hate wood grain...I just think it looks so ghetto...don't know why I feel that way but I would never buy a car with it no matter how much I liked it.

2) If they are just faded use forever black. I used it and they look better than new.

3) Got to buy the entire cowl. They are not sold seperately. Someone could make a killing making them, every 04-08 ever sold needs them now.

You replaced the little rubber pieces on the edge of the cowl? Mine broke and I now use that hole to hold onto when I step onto the tire to clean the hood and window. Much cheaper that way too.
