Torn on tire decision... 295/65/18 or 305/65/18

Yes another one of these threads. I tries to refrain, but I'm just torn and tires of searching the interwebs to piece together info and make a decision. I've pretty well narrowed it to one of two options:

1. 295/65/18 GY Duratrac
2. 305/65/18 BFG A/T

This is on an '04 FX4, with 2" AS on factory FX4 wheels.

Anyone whos had either care to chime in? Im worried that the 295/65 might still look a bit small (have 285/65 now), as they are a half inch shorter than the bfg.

Main concerns are rubbing, and is like to have the option to run chains ocasionally if needed (I know this is another discussion, but would like that option). Also I'm wondering if I want to step up in wheel width and/or offset to allow this and prevent odd wear patterns...

Thanks for you pics, experiences, and input.

Ive also have the 295 Duratracs, and on stock wheel I dont think you would be able to run chains. The side lug was very close to the upper ball joint
stock wheels

On aftermarket wheels

I have the BFG 305/65/18 on my 04 FX4 with stock rims. Only difference is I have the 2.5 AS leveling kit. I have only felt mine rub twice, both times pulling in the driveway at max turn and hitting the bump pretty good. They look great and have been a good tire for my use. Only complaint was the price, but tax season is coming up

How much of a hit did you take on performance with 305's? I'm wanting to go up in tire size when my tires wear out but don't want the truck kicking out of OD all the time.

What we really need is some more tire co. to make 35x10.5-11(285/75/18). I have seen that size on some trucks and they look great.

I rub with the Duratracs with the procomps rims at full lock in reverse but never touched with the stock rims.
I felt a big power loss when I first got my tires but gained a lil back with I got the new rims
