factory sub/amp

Is a factory subwoofer/amp combo from an '08 Supercrew the same as one for a Supercab? Im looking at one from a Mark LT.

Also what would I need to do to hook it up to my '06 Supercab with the stock stereo? (just the regular cd player)

I don't think your Factory Radio will have the place for the Subwoofer/Amp to connect to your truck may or may not have the wiring for it,On My 05 Super Crew it came with the Audiophile System which includes 2 speakers in each front door as well as the sub/amp,I have a extra 6 disc Audiophile Radio non MP3 that I would sell if you need 1 but it's from a 05

If you don't have the audiophile head unit, there likely won't be any wiring to hook it up, much less a place to plug it in. But yes, the subwoofer itself is the same.

Thanks.

Is there any way to hook it up a different way like it was aftermarket without replacing the deck? Id love to have a sub in my truck.

It was on ebay and I didnt meet the reserve but I emailed the seller to see what he wants for it.

You could, but it'd be easier to just get a sub/amp and get a underseat box from supercrewsound that fits just like the stock one does. If you are looking for "boom boom" bass, the stock unit isn't it. It's a 7" driver with something like 80W or so, it's good for roundness of sound and a little thump, but it's not the greatest option. You could throw in a 10" sub/w box with a 200W mono amp that would run you $250-300, and be world above the stock unit. The problem with you situation is that you'd need to have the factory harness to make it worthwhile, and I doubt it's there. You'd have to run wiring the same way you would for an aftermarket sub, so you're not saving any work either.

I just thought it would be cheaper to go with the factory setup. I dont really have $300 to spend right now unfortunately.
