Michelin LTX M/S2 best place to purchase

Hey guys, I have done a lot of reading and think I am going with these tires in the 275/65 R18 stock size. I have called local places for prices and looked online. Here is what I have found so far:
Local Ford dealer $271.00
Jack Williams Tire Center $260.95
Tire Rack $ 238.00 minus the 70.00 card for purchasing 4, but shipping will be around 80.00 bucks.
Then I stumbled upon this site and want to know if anyone has bought here...
http://discounttires.com/product_det...E=&prodID=8550
The price here is $219.00 (have not checked shipping yet).
Just put in shipping. It is $101.00 to my address, minus a 35% discount for shipping this month...this makes it 65 bucks to ship.....price seems good, but who has purchased from here? Thanks.

Any other thoughts or sites? Would be nice if they offered free shipping over the holidays. Thanks.....

If you buy online who will put them on for you? How much are installation charges? If a tire fails who will back it? IMHO it's worth a few extra $$$ to buy local.

Around here Ford is matching or beating any advertised price. I purchased 4 BFG Rugged Trails for my Explorer last year - they ran a "A" plan deal on tire purchase. Nice thing now is I get free rotations for life and have it done every other oil change at the dealer. Oil changes are 19.99 which I cannot beat anywhere.

I have a great relationship with our local Ford dealer. Bethlehem Ford. Total per tire would be 12 bucks each to mount and balance and includes getting rid of my other tires. They even offered to have me ship directly to them and then come in and have them put on.....

Discount Tire is a large chain down here in the South and I have bought most of my tires from them over the last 15 years or so. They have a local shop about a mile from my house and I have always had excellent service with them.

The nice thing down here is that they have literally HUNDREDS of locations scattered across the 3-state area I travel for my work, so I'm usually never far from one in the event of a flat (free repairs) or some other tire emergency.....

"Discounttires.com" is *NOT* Discount Tire. Completely different company.

I bought mine from a local tire vendor. On-line prices were lower, but when you factor in shipping, mounting and balancing, it pretty much evens out. I just wanted to comment that you are going to love those Michelins. It's a huge improvement over the OEM Rugged Trails.

I thought I was seeing things when I was looking online. So they are 2 different animals? Thanks. When factoring in the 70 dollar card you get back, then tire rack is within 30 bucks total of the other online dealer I found. Maybe better to go with who you know. That was a big reason I asked originally if anyone knew or bought from discounttires.com.....thanks. Will keep you posted. could be a few more weeks to get everything done. Thanks, any other suggestions?

I do trust Tire Rack. Damon is very helpful - if he's still there, he hasn't posted here in over a year.

Wow -- some real shenanigan's trying to ride the coattails of an established company.....

For that very reason alone, I'd never send them my business.....

Discount Tire ROCKS !

Go find the local Discount Tire store and let them treat you to the best service you will ever get from a tire store.

Find the best price and they will always beat it ! and still provide great service !

I still shop prices, but always buy from them here in NC.
