The quik-lift is not a 4" lift. Rancho will tell you that the quik-lift lift will get you anywhere between 1.5" and 2". You can check out the pics in my gallery as I have it installed on my truck along with the XL9000s in the rear. After my supercharger install, my actual lift is 1.5". I got drop shackles for the rear along with ride rite air bags to further reduce the rake. I ran stock rims for over 2 years, until I got rid of the stock tires. When I had a blow out, I finally installed aftermarket rims and went back with the optional stock tire in 20" (275/55-20). I don't have any new pics up yet. My reason for not going to a larger diameter tire were based on not wanted to re-gear the truck, gas mileage considerations and better performance. I also don't need the ground clearance. I can still knock down 19 MPG on the highway with this supercharger.
I'm happy with it and if I had to do it over again, I would do the same thing. My decisions were based on functionality rather than looks. I've gone the big lift, big tire thing in the past and know the effects they have on braking, fuel efficiency and performance. If you've ever re-geared a 4x4, you'd know it's a rather significant expense as well. The Michelin M&S2s I went with have excellent wet and dry traction, ride well and are very quiet.

I have the Rancho Quiklift in my 07 SCrew with Factory 20"s. I think they ride better than before, I have them set at 3 i think, a little harder than stock, I have about 6000 miles on them now and I love them. I have 275/55R20 GoodYear Eagles right now, I have 275/65R20 GoodYear Duratracs on order, They said with the Quiklift you can clear 35"s. Mine work out to a 34.1" so I think I will be good. Hopefully have the tires soon to post pics.
I went from the 2.5 AS to the Rancho QL and I love em! I was running 35x12.50x18 BFG MT KM2's when I first switched and currently have the 295x75x18 Nitto Trail Graps, both tires are about the same size and both cleared fine with the QL, which gave me about 2" lift. I can explain it this way, the QL's are adjustable from 0-10, factory trucks are probably in the 3-4 range and factory FX4's are probably in the 5-7 range, so on my FX4, I noticed a HUGE improvement in the ride, much softer.
