Need some ideas/suggestions on modifying bushwacker fender flares

I have a 2006 4x4 SLT with a 6" lift and 35s. My rims have 4.75" of backspacing, so every time I hit a puddle, it throws mud and water up on my windows and mirrors. I need fender flares. I really want the Bushwacker Pocket Style, but there's a problem: I have an Iron Bull front bumper which required me to remove the painted plastic part of the bumper right below the grille. The flares will be too long to use with my bumper. I'll need to cut them off at the edge of the bumper. I'm planning on getting them sprayed with bedliner so it won't matter if the cut part looks out of place or discolored. I just don't know how they attach. How hard will it be to modify them to fit, and what will I have to do about mounting them on the front where I cut the end off?
