thinking of changing all my ball joints...question about the upper joints...looks like to unbolt them the strut is in the way...do I need anything to compress the strut when I go to unbolt it?....anybody know of any links on here with step by step directions?...thanks in advance...

 

The coil-over assembly will come out as a complete unit. There are 3 bolts at the top of the shock (do NOT remove the center nut as that holds the assembly together and is keeping the shock from explosively expanding!). Remove the three upper bolts and the single large lower mounting bolt and the whole assembly will come out.

 

Look for a step by step on removing your strut assembly. After it's out of the way the ball joints are very straight forward.
