05 XLT 5.4L blowing fuse 14
Hi
I have a problem w/ fuse 14 blowing out. I did find a thread w/ a list of things to unplug/test. However my is random & I cant get it to blow consistently to check. What I've learned is that it only does it at start up when it sits overnite & there is moisture. I'm in SoCal & when we have a foggy, dewy nite it blows at start up that next morning. Hot summer days & nites its fine for maybe weeks, then first cool damp nite & it blows the next morning. If I wait a few hours & change it it's fine.
Also no moisture in cab. Any ideas??
thx Jerry

sounds like water is getting into one of the wires that uses that fuse causing it to short and blow the fuse (probably cracked wire shielding). it'd probably be a good idea to take it to a dealer and have it diagnosed, or if you're mechanically inclined, get a wiring diagram shop book and go to town examining the wires.
